My 3 kids and I are taking a road trip from Melbourne to Townsville. Two of them are learner drivers so we should be able to clock up some serious hours for them. Originally we were planning to use Wyndham accommodation there and back but we've missed out on the dates we required. Just being able to give my kids my undivided attention without the stress of work and school will be fantastic. It will bring us closer together on a level we haven't enjoyed for a very long time. We can't wait!
Bringing a beloved family member to celebrate her 90th birthday with her sister at Port Macquarie. Will have an afternoon family BBQ (with a yummy cake) at a local beach with goannas, brush turkeys, butcher birds and kookaburras in attendance. My Mum. She will be 90 15th Dec 2011. Mum stays in Malaysia. She has not had it easy. Breast cancer then 2 years later a stroke. Best holiday I can put together for her with as many family as I can get there.

We've booked 3 weeks at the end of March at Wyndham Coffs Harbour. (21390805RCSP) This will be our first holiday in 3 years and one that we definately want and need.
Both our boys were diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the end of 2009 and we have spent the time since visiting Doctors, Specialists, Seminars and doing lots of research to find out what it is and what can be done. The boys have handled it well although are now drained from all the extra work that has been required.
As Term 1 next year is a 12 week term, we are taking them to Coffs Harbour for the last 2 weeks and let them try out the Circus School as well as visit the Big Banana, Go Tobogganing, Skating and all the other fun things that are there. They also love the water so the pool and the ocean will be a big attraction for them.
The fact that we can spend time with them doing things they love without large crowds and noises(an issue for Aspie kids)and without having to do "lessons" for or about Asperger or general school work will be fantastic.
It will also be fantastic for my husband and I to get away and be able to relax and not have to think about work commitments or the like. It will be wonderful to reconnect with each other and the kids and get to see the pure joy on their faces from doing things their way without having to worry about "fitting in".

I have a booking for my family in the first weekend on January at the Dunsbourgh resort which we all love (20868556RCSP) I have a 7 month old grandson and this will be the first time at the beach. we have the video camera ready for the first time touching sand and the first time in the ocean. A couple of very close friends of ours have not been as fortunate as us with their health or financially, but they are always there night and day, week day or weekend to lend a helping hand when my husband I need it. Their friendship is something you can't replace. My way of saying Thankyou is giving them a Gift Certificate for a weeks accomodation at any of the resorts. I am sure they will enjoy being able to take a break without having to worry about accomodation.

I know I do not qualify - but I wanted to tell my story any way. In February this year, I competed in the National Titles for Vigoro in Bendigo. During the time I was there I had my birthday and I have always had my birthday with my family. My partner & I had only recently started new jobs, so we knew we would not be using our credits for at least 12 months. I used my credits to shout my Ma & Pa and brother to Ballarat units, so they could come visit me as often as they liked and especially on my birthday. It was so special - I will never forget the excitement in my mum & Dad's faces. My credits paid their airfare and a hire car for a week and they got to stay in Ballarat for the week - which they tell me was absolutely beautiful - one day I hope to visit there too. A young couple very close to us have two lovely little girls. My husband and I invited them to one of our weekend getaways in Port Stephens and the girls had a ball not only at the resort but at the beach as well. My family is planning for another trip in January 2011 to Tasmania and Seven Mile Beach but they could not tag along so we decided to give them a fun time of their own and gifted them with a weekend stay In Wyndham Sydney. Our Brother & his wife in New Zealand has been working really hard without taking a break at all, to pay off some debts. We've been to Rotorua once & loved the beautiful resort with a magnificent lake by the side & your own jetty at the back of your apartment to park the boat. As our kids have now grown up and they are busy with their personal affairs - we find it difficult to coordinate all activities and be together in any occassion, but we use the Wyndham holidays (as we book our resorts well in advance) as an annual event for getting together. Moreover, we take another family (our very close friends with kids of similar age) to join us to convert the good hoildays into great holidays. However, at times we face problem with cookings facilities and space availability for all 8 of us as there is nobody from Wyndham to take care of us. But we enjoy the holidays. As we are about to get ready for our Fiji (Denaru Island) trip in about 2 weeks time for a weeklong break, we are scheduled to return in Melbourne on the 30th of January - just hours before our son celebrates his 20th birthday on the 31st of January. My septuagenarian in-laws spend their time juggling running the farm with daily babysitting of our four nephews - 6, 4 and twins aged 1. We have arranged alternate babysitters and will work the farm whilst we send them to Flynn's Beach for 5 nights to RELAX!
Our 30 year old daughter is slowly recovering from cancer and the side effects of treatment. When I asked her what she missed most, she said, "Mum, I would love to feel the sand between my toes." We are taking her to Flynn's Beach so she can do just that.

We have booked 2 x 2 bedroom deluxe units at Dunsborough to spend some time with 5 members of our bridal party from 1983 who have come from Victoria for our sons wedding. This is our first family holiday.Due to work committments its never easy to get away, however the past 2 years have been made up of alot of medical issues and many surgeries. My Children ages 14,9 & 6 along with my husband have been very supportive and have been through so much well beyoung their years. Month of January is a very special month for my family as we celebrate all our birthdays this month one day after the other. My birthday being on the 28th, my son on the 29th, and my husband on the 31st. As a treat to ourselves I have booked a trip to Melbourne to watch Australian Tennis Open, and then we are off to Ballarat for couple of days. This is our first time to go to Ballarat, and I have Wyndham to thank for this. We are so looking forward to this trip to go to different attractions in the area and just relax. Splurged on a Valentine's Day long weekend at Flynns Beach - Penthouse for my hubby and 2 young children. A weekend away for just two would be nice, but it is a day of love for everyone and we will have the best time swimming, eating, relaxing with our kids.

Whilst revisiting the many options available through membership whilst currently staying at Kirra Beach, it helped cement my decision NOT to purchase a business and to stick with shift work!!
My priority has always been my family, and planning our Wyndham holidays is always a great time for the four of us. Kirra, Coffs Harbour, Denaru Island and the Kirra again and that's just the beginning ...........

I know I do not qualify - but I wanted to tell my story any way. In February this year, I competed in the National Titles for Vigoro in Bendigo. During the time I was there I had my birthday and I have always had my birthday with my family. My partner & I had only recently started new jobs, so we knew we would not be using our credits for at least 12 months. I used my credits to shout my Ma & Pa and brother to Ballarat units, so they could come visit me as often as they liked and especially on my birthday. It was so special - I will never forget the excitement in my mum & Dad's faces. My credits paid their airfare and a hire car for a week and they got to stay in Ballarat for the week - which they tell me was absolutely beautiful - one day I hope to visit there too.

My husband and I invited them to one of our weekend getaways in Port Stephens and the girls had a ball not only at the resort but at the beach as well. My family is planning for another trip in January 2011 to Tasmania and Seven Mile Beach but they could not tag along so we decided to give them a fun time of their own and gifted them with a weekend stay In Wyndham Sydney. They're so happy when they opened the christmas card I gave them and saw the booking I made for them. It's nice to share our blessings!!

we left Sydney 16th December to Flynns Beach with 91yr old mother-in-law 7nights. then to Surfers paradise for 3 nights. Mother-in-law enjoyed these resorts. Up to Bundy on the way back will be staying at Kirra, Treetops & again at Flynns Beach. Lovely for 91yrold to relax and calm down.

My husband and I are staying the night at Trinity Links Worldmark Resort in Cairns on 16 Feburary for Valentines Day (no kids - yay!) but I'm surprising him with tickets to his favourite comedian Billy Connolly! A night at a Worldmark resort and a fabulous comedian, can't get any better!

Our Brother & his wife in New Zealand has been working really hard without taking a break at all, to pay off some debts. We've been to Rotorua once & loved the beautiful resort with a magnificent lake by the side & your own jetty at the back of your apartment to park the boat. So we thought we'd treat them to a couple of days get away at Rotorua during the Christmas break. They really loved it & appreciate it a lot too.

As our kids have now grown up and they are busy with their personal affairs - we find it difficult to coordinate all activities and be together in any occassion, but we use the Wyndham holidays (as we book our resorts well in advance) as an annual event for getting together. Moreover, we take another family (our very close friends with kids of similar age) to join us to convert the good hoildays into great holidays. However, at times we face problem with cookings facilities and space availability for all 8 of us as there is nobody from Wyndham to take care of us. But we enjoy the holidays. As we are about to get ready for our Fiji (Denaru Island) trip in about 2 weeks time for a weeklong break, we are scheduled to return in Melbourne on the 30th of January - just hours before our son celebrates his 20th birthday on the 31st of January. It will be nice to give him a pleasen surprise in advance!

ReplyDeleteI am having my 60th birthday in NZ and have booked a Deluxe 3 bedroomed apartment at Worldmark Rotorua so I can invite my sister and her family to share my celebration and also have a holiday at the same time. My sister spends most of her time looking after others so it will be a treat for her to be 'looked after' for a change.
Love is such a wonderful thing as is having a loving family. So to show my family just how much I care I have booked 3 rooms with all my credits so my family can experience the luxury of Worldmark Resorts. We are going to Port Macquarie for a week in July and I am looking forward to my mother and sisters being together as we lost our father in October and I had to cancel our holiday to Coffs Harbour. We have booked 2 x 2 bedroom deluxe units at Dunsborough to spend some time with 5 members of our bridal party from 1983 who have come from Victoria for our sons wedding. ReplyDeleteWe am getting married later in the year and we are having a 10 day honeymoon at the Liesure Inn Pokolbin Hill. The location looks romantic, hot air ballooning, wine country and historical towns not far away. What a fantastic way to star our life together.
My parents live overseas and their one grandchild, my 7 year old daughter last saw them 4 years ago. We have booked a week at the Sydney Suites for them to enjoy our glorious city and spend some quality time there, but will also be taking them to Coffs Harbour and Port Macquaire during their visit. We have never been to Tasmania, so a trip to 7 miles at Hobart Wyndham resort seems just the ticket. I have invited my in-laws to come and spend some time with us. Not that they are unable to go anywhere on their own or old etc. If we have invested our hard earned money on Holidays with the best why not share it around with family members as well.
I have done some research on Tassie and Hobart in general. It certainly makes sense to spend our holiday there at this fab resort and enjoy the nuances of Hobart with it's beautiful architectural structure dotted around city and outskirts. Mum and Dad are excited themselves: Boarding Spirit of Tasmania and staying in their own Porthole Cabins and enjoying the on-board restaurants and shops.
We are all looking forward to this trip. It’s not a present for an individual but for each and every one of us and I think that’s what is important for us.

ReplyDeleteThis is our first family holiday.Due to work committments its never easy to get away, however the past 2 years have been made up of alot of medical issues and many surgeries. My Children ages 14,9 & 6 along with my husband have been very supportive and have been through so much well beyoung their years. This is a way of saying thank you and that as Parents we have appreciated the way they have handled everything.
This holiday is about our children being children and having the time of their life. Its about the special bond that we share.
The children are looking forward to spending 10 days at Kirra Beach and with our Wyndham Credits this has been made possible.
As our family is very scattered, it has been a dream of ours to gather the children and grandchildren to spend Xmas 2011 at the Denarau Resort Fiji. 13 of us hopefully. I can't wait! How special to have them all together fo once.

ReplyDeleteOur family friends came to Perth for a wedding and mentionend that they wanted to visit us in Sydney.The biggest problem we faced was that one of the members was in wheel chair and our house doesen't have any facilities to accommadate them.We booked a Sydney suite one bed room special for them.The Apartment had all the facilities for wheel chair users and also they enjoyed our beautiful city without our guidance. Wyndham membership helped us to entertain our guests in a much better way.

ReplyDeleteMonth of January is a very special month for my family as we celebrate all our birthdays this month one day after the other. My birthday being on the 28th, my son on the 29th, and my husband on the 31st. As a treat to ourselves I have booked a trip to Melbourne to watch Australian Tennis Open, and then we are off to Ballarat for couple of days. This is our first time to go to Ballarat, and I have Wyndham to thank for this. We are so looking forward to this trip to go to different attractions in the area and just relax. Our holiday isn't for us but for two dear friends my husband has known since kindergarten (we are 50 this year). Our friends didn't have the best year in 2010 and we wanted to buy them something special for their 50th birthdays this year.
